The Real Cause of Sickness
How healthy you are is a measure of how well you can resist external pressures and stresses. When the weather turns cold often people get colds and flus. It’s not because there are more germs around. In fact, there are less germs around in cold weather.
The reason people get sick more often in cold weather is because the cold is a stress the body has to adapt to which depletes the bodies reserves and tests its robustness. If you want to know how to avoid colds and flus focus not on the presence or absence of germs and more on the degree of robustness your body has.
The big five. Rest, exercise, sound structure, natural un-denatured food, and the right mental attitude will help you to increase your resistance to disease. It’s a mistake to blame disease on germs, genes and old age. You have little or no control over these things. Focus on what you can do to make yourself stronger and more resilient and your immune system will thrive.
If you are exhausted your resistance will be down. If your diet consists of processed and refined foods your immune system will suffer too. Exercise will help you to raise your bodies temperature and respiration make you stronger and increase your resistance.
Don’t wait to get sick before you take care of your health. The best time to look after your health is when you are healthy.
