Private Health Insurance – Extra’s Cover:
At ChiroPlus you can claim private health insurance rebates for chiropractic care. Just present your receipt and your health insurer will refund your entitlement. This can often be done on line or simply and quickly on your mobile phone
Every private health insurance company is different, all have different rebates and coverage.
Check with your private health insurance company to determine your level of cover how much you can claim for each of your chiropractic visits.
If you are unsure if you have chiropractic care included in your extra’s cover, it’s best to call your private health insurance provider directly and find out exactly what you are entitled to.

Can my X-rays be bulk billed?
Often yes. We need to do a thorough examination before we can even determine the need for X-rays. If Xrays are required, depending on the X-rays required they may be bulk billed.
We will discuss this with you prior to giving you an Xray referral.

Generally bulk billing for Chiropractic adjustment isn’t available other than in a few circumstances. They include;

Medicare Enhanced primary care:
You may be eligible a full refund for up to 5 Chiropractic visits that are bulk billed with a medical referral for Chronic conditions, this doesn’t include initial exam.

Workcover:
An injury may be covered for a full refund of your expenses if you have a claim from a work related injury with Workcover S.A.

DVA:

The department of veterans affairs offer help to white or gold cardholders. DVA has 2 separate categories of veteran health cards, which are gold cards and white cards. Gold cards often enable full access to chiropractic services which are bulk billed. White cards are restricted to chiropractic services that are for specific conditions and need to be approved by DVA before claiming.

Motor vehicle and accident claims:
We help people with injuries sustained in Motor vehicle and other accidents who have accepted insurance company motor vehicle and accident claims, however we don’t bill the insurance company directly. Payment is made and you can claim a reimbursement in most cases. You may need to check with your insurer or advocate.

Cheap Chiropractic in the Southern Suburbs;

Is cheap care available? The old adage you get what you pay for is true.  The word cheap sounds like poor quality, and it often is. We don’t offer that. We still want care to be affordable for people. With an acute  condition often relief comes quickly, so if that’s you, cost is probably not such an issue, but with chronic conditions more time and treatment is required.

There are some shortcuts we will never take, but if you have a chronic condition and you are on a limited budget and If you are prepared to do a lot of work at home… with minimal expense it’s sometimes possible to get good results. We still need to do a thorough exam, possibly see x-rays (see bulk billing) and you probably will still need some Chiropractic adjustment, but we may be able to help you by setting you up with a home spinal orthotic and mirror image exercise program.

This type of care is an area of special interest to us and Dr.Paul has spent many hundreds of post graduate study hours on these evidence based procedures to make care possible for as many people as possible.

You will still need monitoring and assessment. Research evidence suggests this type of care doesn’t get as good results as a full program of Chiropractic care, often because of lack of patient compliance, but if you’re confident you can be disciplined we can often help. This type of care is sometimes not my best recommendation, but it can be excellent value. Under some circumstances it is the best option.
